currently having a discussion about a practitioners style on the Toad and 5 Meo DMT Testimonials site. Heres part of what I posted..... I made a suggestion on another post that I, or someone, could organise a global internet tele conference with some of the main players to discuss some main issues that could also have input from viewers. More on this to come Im sure.[/size]I have mentioned before I have had 4 sessions with this practitioner and found his facilitation both powerful and revolutionary. That said there are some processes I do not agree with and if I was to do a ceremony with with this practitioner I would state them clearly. Such as, do not put water in my mouth unless I have stopped breathing for at least 30 seconds, I don't want rap~e unless I'm really stuck and under NO circumstances are you to use your electric zapper on me. Then I would do ceremony with this practitioner in a heart beat knowing my needs were respected. Anyone can do this and I encourage people to read the piece I wrote in the file section above on "Choosing a Practitioner" and take any action required.
[/color][/size]I am glad that I have come to a stage with the medicine that I now just sit with my partner and we manage our own set, setting, style and integration. I love doing it in deep nature and shallow water, with the longer, say, one hour style, of slow integration, then a relaxing day or two out of the matrix afterwards.
[/color][/size]On the Zapper, this practitioner has made an apology to the person in the video that he wasn't warned about this option before using it on him and he will in the future alway check for consent before using any tools in his shamanic tool box. I understand people can amend the consent form to suit the initiates needs. This practitioner is a hard task master and not for everyone. In fact the Toad is an even harder task master and definitely not for everyone. There is no rush to have toad and no shame to say it's not for me and wise to do your research before hand.
[/color][/size]One positive thing to come out of all this is it appears a "Practitioners Code" is in the wind. I have put a few points down to get the ball rolling in a previous post and there will be loads more discussion and work on this Im sure.

I think this kind of discussion would best be done in a static format like in this thread rather than in a teleconference. That way the information is documented and conversation flows in a stepwise fashion. This needs to happen in a textual format and can very easily take place here. Then the information can be summarized and collated in one place.

I would like to add that, since my experiences I have become very aware of how imperilled and in need of protection the toad is. By all accounts, lab-synthesised 5MEO offers an equal experience. Neither are easy to access but the way forward has to be to protect and avoid any harmful exploitation of the natural world.

It would be quite interesting indeed to compare similarities/differences between both of your experiences with 5-MeO-DMT, since there seems to be much more similarities between experiences than differences.

That auditory quality of DiPT has always intrigued me but I've never gotten around to trying it. I think it would be an interesting experience to have yet my impression is that there are not terribly many glowing reports coming from it. So with so little time, I haven't gone out of my way to find it. Have you?

Has anyone tried this TEK and can vouch for it?


From the description is seems that the freebase 5-MeO-DMT is nonpolar, therefor insoluble in water, however the water will pick up the 3 ions (Cl, Na, CO3), so through simple filtration one can separate them. Is that correct, can anyone confirm that freebase 5-MeO-DMT is nonpolar?

Hey there hivebro, I've done some more digging and found this thread on the Nexus. One of the main contributors is NotTwo, who can also be found on here. I'll put the main important quotes in this thread for your convenience:

If your solvent is warm (no flames) and you agitate the dried freebase/sodium carbonate solid for 10 minutes all the freebase will dissolve. Filter - or simply let it settle in a measuring column - place in wide base container and evaporate off the solvent. I don't think there's any need to redissolve in solvent; what you get out of this will be high purity and you won't be vaping much of it in any case.

I should add that I've now given up on freebasing 5-meo as the HCl version is also vapable.

In my own experiments I reckon you need more of the 5-meo:HCl by a factor of about 1:1.4

So:

7 mg of 5-meo:HCl is equivalent to 5 mg of freebase 5-meo
14 mg of 5-meo:HCl is equivalent to 10 mg of freebase 5-meo
21 mg of 5-meo:HCl is equivalent to 15 mg of freebase 5-meo

when vaped.

I don't know if others agree as it's my subjective experience based on limited experiences

Amazing posts! The Phalaris extract that you did sounds fascinating. I am highly curious about this, as a friend of mine has been begging me to look into waxy extracts containing 5-MeO-DMT and the effect you described sounds exactly like what they experienced!

I recently wrote a little article on psychedelic chemistry for the general reader. This article touches on changes synthetic chemists (David Nichols mostly though have made to DMT and/or 5-MeO-DMT to give them oral activity. This leads to the analogs AMT, 5-MeO-AMT, MiPT, 5-MeO-MiPT, DiPT, and 5-MeO-DiPT. If you are at all interested in what these molecules are give it a look-see.

Those analogs are quite interesting, though what is fascinating is that none of them have the same kind of activity as 5-MeO-DMT in terms of phenomenological similarities.

That is a question with a complex answer. First of all, brachystachys is a species not very well explored for it's entheogenic potential. A number of species( arundinacea, aquatica, canariensis etc) all can express chemotypes that will be 5-MeO-DMT dominant. Any number of alkaloids could be present in unkown ratios with random genetics. Brachystachys is seems to be a more stable producer of DMT/5-MeO-DMT at higer levels than arundinacea.


You will need to either defat or salt the tryptamines out of a non polar solvent to end up with anything you would want to smoke or vaporize. Also, be aware alkaloids such as hordenine are alochol soluble.


The only way to know is to grow it out and test it, however I never suggest anyone go out and ingest plants of questionable chemistry and murky at best historical use. Be safe.
