Welcome back! Thanks for waiting to name names. That is prohibited on this forum at this time. But very glad you had a positive experience and we look forward to hearing how it went!

Any salt form of 5meo will burn at a lower temperature than freebase. If you’re wanting to vaporize it, you would need to determine the melting or boiling point of the substance (5-MeO-DMT oxalate) and try to make sure you were not burning the material (heating it beyond the melting/boiling point).

You could also convert it to freebase form and try vaporizing that, but I have less knowledge about chemistry and can’t answer that very well. There is a thread on this forum where we discuss conversion, give it a search and you should be able to find it :)

To me personally it sounds like you may have beer given way too much.
What makes me say this? Because so much of the experience you had no idea what was going on and you are left feeling confused and disoriented. This experience does not need to be that way at all. In fact, done properly, 5-MeO-DMT can often leave people in a very relaxed, peaceful state.

The screaming/primal reactions can be for so many reasons we can’t say anything for sure. Perhaps it is related to a previous experience that you had in which you were unable to express terror, perhaps it was your reaction to the experience yourself. We don’t actually know and it’s very difficult to determine without knowing who you are or having had contact with you personally during the experience.

Most simple practice for integration? Journaling or talking with a therapist that knows about psychedelics. Psychedelic.Support is a great resource for finding people like that.

Welcome!

Oftentimes people say that nothing could ever prepare someone for this kind of experience, but hopefully the information on this forum can be helpful for you in making your decision at the right time.

The goal of this forum is to discuss experiences, provide support to those who may be having difficulty integrating these experiences, and provide harm reduction for those planning on having an experience with 5-MeO-DMT.

Welcome!

Hello SE,
And sorry for the late reply. How are these symptoms now? Have they improved?

I’m thinking we can probably merge this with the Reactivations thread (https://forums.5meodmt.org/index.php?topic=50940.0) so that it’s all in one place for folks.

That being said, what you’re describing is something that seems to happen quite often with people vaporizing larger doses of 5-MeO-DMT. It seems the slow but irregular trend towards improvement is a commonality in all of these reactivations reports and that the best things are to be able to do some kind of physical activity like dancing or yoga, use of supplements such as valerian or kava for sleep, and have time where you are not suppressing the effects and are able to work with a therapist who can support you through this process. Ideally a trauma-informed somatic therapist.

Please do keep us updated, as this information is invaluable to others who may be going through the same thing.

Wishing you all the best,
HV

This has already been stated in the terms of agreement for using the forum but we have recently had a few people joining and offering to sell drugs. This is a harm reduction forum and is NOT for the sale, transfer, or acquisition of illegal substances or services. Any such activities will result in an instant ban from the forums.
